Patients will recover quickly after breast lift surgery. However, this process may be prolonged in smoking patients. For this reason, physicians generally recommend quitting smoking before surgery and not smoking for about 1 month after surgery. In addition, anti-inflammatory and blood thinners such as aspirin should not be taken for 2-3 weeks before surgery. You should also inform your physician if you are taking any other medicines or vitamin supplements. Your physician may ask you to stop taking some of these medicines.

Post Breast Lift Surgery

After breast lift surgery, the patient may be advised to apply ice compresses depending on the physician’s recommendation. In addition, the patient has to wear a special bra for a while. This bra is similar to a sports bra.

The drain placed in both breasts during surgery is removed after 1-2 days. A drain is usually inserted, but physicians may not prefer it on a case-by-case basis. Some swelling and edema may occur after the surgery. This swelling is quite normal and will disappear as the shape of your breast starts to form. It takes between 2 and 3 months for the breast to take its desired final form.

Can Sagging Cccur Again After Breast Lift Surgery?

Experiencing re-sagging in the breasts depends on the technique used in the surgery and the structure of the breast. On the other hand, it can be stated that there will not be a sagging for a very long time. It should be known that if silicone is used in the breast lift operation, if the silicone is large, sagging of the breasts may occur at certain rates depending on the patient’s age.

However, this sagging will never be similar to what it was before surgery. Sagging may occur if the breast prosthesis is above average. This can be corrected later by reopening the breast and replacing the prosthesis.
